Software Category Manager - REMOTE

Pay: $70-82/hour. W2 ONLY

Seeking a Software Category Program Manager to operate within the Technology portfolio, overseeing targeted spend, supplier ecosystems, and third-party partnerships to advance the Firm's strategic and operational priorities. This role will specifically work on Software and Cloud Infrastructure and AI subcategories.

This role is centered on category strategy, working with the technology sourcing team for demand management and contributing to overall firm direction and business rationale for category purchasing decisions.

Key responsibilities include identifying opportunities to optimize cost, improve software asset utilization, enhance vendor performance, and scale innovative digital solutions.

You will play a critical role in managing and deepening relationships with major software providers and system integrators, ensuring high performance while embedding sustainability, compliance, and risk mitigation measures across the supplier base.

Additionally, this role will contribute to improving on current Software Asset Management practices and develop a new framework for SAM.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree; advanced degree (MBA, PhD, etc.) or equivalent work experience preferred.

5+ years of Software Category Management expereince at the enterprise level is required.

Experience with software licensing, cloud infrastructure, and AI subcategories is strongly preferred.

Prior experience with software asset management framework development is a standout.

Must have demonstratable category management strategy experience.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to tailor your style to diverse audiences and seniority levels.

Proficiency in rational decision-making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning.

Ability to produce category strategies, supplier management plans, and supporting deliverables (e.g., PowerPoint decks, Excel models, reports, or written analyses) is required.
