The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior AI/Backend Developer with deep expertise in Python, backend systems, and AI agent frameworks to join our studio team. As a core contributor, you’ll help build and scale AI-powered applications across multiple ventures. You’ll lead the design and implementation of backend architectures that bring intelligent, real-time interactions to life—focused on strengthening human relationships through technology.

This is a full-time, fully remote role working within small, agile pods (2-3 developers) using AI-augmented workflows and relay-style handoffs across time zones.

What You'll Do

Design and develop intelligent agent systems and backend services that scale
Build AI-powered solutions using Python, LangChain, and LLM Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
Fine-tune and deploy models, manage training datasets, and maintain performance
Architect and maintain APIs and microservices using scalable and secure patterns
Integrate backend functionality with web/mobile frontends (React, Next.js)
Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, WisprFlow) for rapid iteration
Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and venture teams
Work asynchronously across time zones using relay-style handoffs to keep development moving
Support 2-3 ventures per year, contributing across discovery, prototyping, and launch phases

What We're Looking For

Required

Strong experience with backend development in Python (Flask, FastAPI, etc.)
Experience with API design, microservices, and relational/non-relational databases
Knowledge of cloud-based deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps basics
Familiarity with AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain) and LLM RAG implementations
6+ years of experience building production-grade web/backend applications
A proactive, builder mindset and the ability to work independently
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Preferred

Experience integrating LLMs and agent systems into applications
Exposure to fine-tuning models and building/managing datasets
Familiarity with full-stack development tools (React, Next.js, Supabase, Node.js)
Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or WisprFlow
Understanding of security best practices, performance optimization, and API scaling
Excitement about working on projects that restore and deepen human connection
