Responsibilities
- Assign appropriate ICD-10 codes to diagnoses and procedures based on documentation provided by healthcare providers.
- Ensure compliance with all coding guidelines, regulations, and policies to maintain accuracy in medical billing.
- Collaborate with medical office staff to clarify documentation discrepancies or obtain additional information as needed.
- Assist in the management of medical records, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Conduct audits of coded records to identify areas for improvement in coding practices.
- Stay current with updates in medical terminology, coding systems, and billing regulations to ensure best practices are followed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
