About Growth Geek
Growth Geek is a Lisbon-based company, a hands-on operational partner to high-growth companies, primarily working with post-raise startups that need to turn ambition into execution.
We step in when companies have momentum but lack the structure, systems, and operational discipline to scale effectively. Our work focuses on rebuilding how the company actually runs, from organizational design and decision-making to go-to-market alignment, execution systems, and leadership cadence.
About the Role
You will work directly with the founder of Growth Geek and be involved in the execution of client engagements, as well as internal operations and go-to-market activities.
This is a high-ownership Operations & GTM role where you will act as the layer that connects:
client work
internal execution
content and production
commercial and go-to-market efforts
You will be working across multiple client engagements and initiatives at the same time, helping ensure that everything moves with structure, clarity, and momentum.
What this role actually is
This role combines:
operations and execution management
content and production coordination
go-to-market and commercial execution
You will work closely with the founder to translate priorities into structured execution, and ensure that execution actually happens.
It is both:
hands-on (deep in execution)
high-level (seeing across multiple moving parts)
How to think about this role
This role is best understood as an Execution Integrator.
You are not here to define strategy, but you are critical in making sure strategy turns into reality.
You will work across:
client engagements (supporting operational work)
content and production workflows
internal systems and execution
go-to-market and commercial activities
What success looks like
Client work is structured, tracked, and progressing
Internal execution is organized and predictable
Content and production pipelines run smoothly
Commercial and GTM efforts are supported and moving
Nothing important gets lost, delayed, or unclear
What you’ll actually be doing (day-to-day reality)
This role has four core areas of responsibility:
1. Execution & Operational Coordination (core of the role)
You will act as the layer that turns priorities into structured execution.
This is the most important part of the role.
You will:
Take input from calls, messages, and ongoing work → translate into clear tasks
Define owners, priorities, and deadlines
Maintain a central view of what is happening across projects
Track progress and follow up consistently
Identify gaps, delays, and blockers early
Ensure that work moves forward without constant intervention
A big part of your value will come from bringing clarity and structure where things would otherwise drift.
2. Content & Production Coordination
You will support content and production workflows where relevant.
This includes:
Tracking content from idea → production → delivery
Reviewing outputs for clarity and basic quality (structure, completeness, obvious issues)
Coordinating feedback between contributors
Helping keep timelines on track
Preparing simple briefs or inputs when needed
You are not expected to be a content creator, your role is to keep production organized and moving.
3. GTM & Commercial Support
You will support go-to-market and commercial execution across initiatives.
This may include:
Maintaining visibility over pipelines and ongoing opportunities
Supporting outreach, follow-ups, and coordination
Assisting with partnerships, collaborations, or external initiatives
Preparing basic materials or summaries for conversations
You are not responsible for defining strategy, but you play a key role in making sure commercial efforts are structured and progressing.
4. Systems & Structure
Across everything, you will help maintain operational clarity.
Keep tools (Notion, trackers, etc.) clean and usable
Introduce structure where needed
Help document processes over time
How this role works in practice
This role is highly hands-on and execution-focused.
You will be working directly with the founder, close to decision-making, and deeply involved in turning priorities into action.
There is strong ownership but also a high level of involvement in day-to-day execution. The value of this role comes from making things move, not just defining what should happen.
Who this is for
You’ll do very well in this role if you:
naturally bring structure to messy situations
have strong follow-through and close loops consistently
are comfortable handling multiple parallel workstreams
can move between detail (tasks) and overview (priorities)
take initiative without waiting for detailed instructions
communicate clearly and directly
This role fits someone who enjoys being close to execution and impact, and takes ownership of making things move.
Ideal background
We are looking for someone with a strong analytical and operational mindset.
Typical backgrounds that work well:
Operations/project management in startups or fast-moving environments
Consulting (analyst / associate level)
Program/operations roles in tech or digital businesses
Graduates from Faculty of Organizational Sciences (FON) or similar programs
Typically 3–5+ years of relevant experience.
What matters most is not the exact title, but your ability to organize, prioritize, and execute.
Tools
You should be comfortable working with:
Notion or similar workspace tools
Spreadsheets (Google Sheets / Excel)
Slack or async communication tools
AI tools (ChatGPT or similar) for day-to-day work
